1. Service Description

CompanyStack is a UK Company Intelligence API operated by BlackPeak CFO Ltd. The Service provides programmatic access to publicly available UK company data sourced from Companies House, enriched with proprietary health scores, risk analysis, and market intelligence.

2. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data for the purpose of reselling raw data.
  • Exceed the rate limits applicable to your subscription tier.
  • Attempt to circumvent authentication, rate limiting, or any security measures.
  • Use the Service in any way that could damage, disable, or impair its operation.
  • Redistribute API credentials or share your API key with unauthorised third parties.

3. Data Accuracy Disclaimer

Company data is sourced from Companies House and other public registries. While we strive for accuracy and timeliness, we provide no warranty — express or implied — regarding the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or fitness for any particular purpose of the data. You should independently verify any data before making business decisions.

4. Accounts & API Keys

To access the Service you must register an account and obtain an API key. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your API key and for all activity under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.

Subscription tiers determine your request limits and available features. Fees for paid tiers are billed monthly or annually in advance and are non-refundable except as required by law.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service, its design, documentation, and any proprietary data enrichment (including health scores and risk indicators) remain the intellectual property of BlackPeak CFO Ltd. Public company data sourced from Companies House is subject to the Open Government Licence.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, BlackPeak CFO Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of profits, data, or business opportunities.

7. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may cancel your account at any time by contacting us. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately and your API key will be revoked.

8. Changes to These Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a notice on the Service. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
