Company data

How up to date is the data?

Company page details come straight from Companies House when you open the page. Changes to company records reach us continuously. Gazette notices are refreshed twice a day and sanctions lists every hour; the other registers are a copy loaded in April 2026 that is not yet refreshed automatically.

Companies House data

  • When you open a company page, we fetch its officers, ownership, filings, charges and insolvency records from Companies House at that moment. If Companies House is not responding, we show our own copy instead.
  • Company records and PSC changes reach us continuously from the Companies House streaming service, usually within minutes.
  • Our full copy of the register is reloaded each time Companies House publishes its monthly snapshot, to catch anything the stream missed.

We can only show what Companies House has published. A filing a company has sent but Companies House has not yet processed will not appear until it is on the register.

Accounts figures

When a company files accounts electronically, we read the figures from the daily accounts files Companies House publishes. They usually appear within a day or two of Companies House accepting the filing. When it files on paper or as a PDF, we read them when someone opens the company page. Figures usually appear within the hour. See Missing accounts years or turnover.

Other registers

Information from other public registers, such as food hygiene ratings, the ICO register and gender pay gap reports, is a copy we loaded in April 2026 and have not yet refreshed automatically, so it can be out of date. Our data sources page says how fresh each one is.

Alerts

We check the companies on your lists for changes every 15 minutes. Daily alert emails go out once a day. See Alerts: what we tell you and when.

Spotted something out of date?

Check the record at Companies House. If Companies House shows something newer than we do, report it.
