Company data
Report a data error
If something on a company page is wrong, check it against Companies House first, then send us the company number and what is wrong.
1. Check the official record
Look the company up on the Companies House register. On a company page, the Filings tab links to the filed documents.
- Companies House shows the same thing we do: the error is in the official record. We copy the register, so we cannot change it. The company or person concerned must correct it with Companies House. Our copy updates automatically once they do.
- Companies House is different from us: our copy is wrong, or a figure was misread. Tell us and we will fix it.
2. Tell us
Raise a request at Support, or email support@companystack.co.uk. Include:
- the company number;
- the tab and the item that is wrong, for example "Accounts, turnover for the year ending 31 March 2025";
- what it should say, and where you saw the correct version.
There is no "report" button on company pages yet, so please use support.
What happens next
We check it against the source. If our copy is wrong, we correct it and tell you when it is done. If a figure was misread from a filed document, we correct it and check the rest of that filing.
Is it about you?
If the error is in your own details as a director or person with significant control, correct it at Companies House first. To object to your details being shown at all, see Listed as a director or owner? Your privacy choices.
